Each Year, the D4D Foundation Partner’s with a local community in the effort to give back to children who are in the hospital during the holidays. Partnering with Darden/Olive Garden in the past - there would be a beautifully decorated tree in the lobby of the restaurant where guests and employees would choose an “ornament” off the tree with a gift written on it to return by a certain date for a holiday in person drop off and caroling. The coronavirus impact has made this process far different, but keeping the spirit and tradition alive was a no brainer. That is when the “Virtual Giving Tree” was born.
